BLUE MOUNTAIN RESORT BRINGS HOLIDAY CHEER TO THE SNOW SEASON
On Tap: Ugly Sweater Party, Gingerbread House Workshops, Breakfast with Santa and a New Year’s Eve Gala
Blue Mountain Resort — known for its outstanding skiing, snowboarding and snowtubing — adds to the winter season with a host of family-friendly and adult events. Festivities include an Ugly Sweater Party with live musical entertainment and prizes; two Gingerbread House Workshops — one each for families and adults; Breakfast with Santa, and the annual New Year’s Eve Gala.
Ugly Sweater Party
Friday, December 17 from 7 to 10 p.m.
This year’s Ugly Sweater Party promises to be a jolly time at Last Run Lounge at the Summit Lodge. The evening brings live music by Toolshed Jack, prizes for the ‘ugliest’ sweaters, along with seasonal food and drink specials for purchase.
Adults 21 and over only; admission is free.
Gingerbread House Workshops
Family Session: Saturday, December 18 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Adult Session: Saturday, December 18 from 5 to 7 p.m.
Families and friends will enjoy creatively decorating their own Gingerbread Houses in the Vista Ballroom at the Summit Lodge. For families, the workshop includes Christmas music and a decadent hot chocolate bar as they decorate their freshly baked gingerbread houses with special decorations included. For the evening 21-and-over workshop, couples and friends will decorate their own freshly baked gingerbread houses while enjoying holiday music and a cash bar.
For each session, $50 for table of up to 8 people; each additional gingerbread house is $25. Tickets are available for purchase online.
Breakfast with Santa
Sunday, December 19 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
It’s always a special treat to meet up with St. Nick and get a photo taken with him for fond future memories. The yummy Buffet Breakfast in the Vista Ballroom at the Summit Lodge includes scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, French toast with syrup, home fries, bagels and assorted breakfast breads, coffee, tea, juices and hot chocolate with toppings.
Price is $30 per person; $20 for kids ages four to 12; ages three and under are free. Tickets are available for purchase online.
New Year’s Eve at Alpine Ballroom at the Summit Lodge
Friday, December 31 into Saturday, January 1 from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m.
This celebratory party held in the Alpine Ballroom is an adult-only event to usher in 2022. Festivities include party favors, champagne toast at midnight, continental breakfast and a cash bar.
$25 in advance, $30 at the door. Tickets are available for purchase online.
