CAMELBACK RESORT INTRODUCES ARTIST-IN-RESIDENCE SERIES: “THE CREATIVE COLLECTION AT CAMELBACK”

Graffiti Artist and Former NFL Player Baron Batch Kicks-Off Series April 23

Designed to enhance the vibrant changes and offerings at the “new” Camelback Resort in the scenic Pocono Mountains, a new interactive artist-in-residence program — “The Creative Collection at Camelback” — launches this month, showcasing local and regional area artists as seen throughout Camelback’s recently modernized guestrooms and eateries.

Kicking off the series is former NFL running back Baron Batch. Known as a multidimensional artist, poet, painter, designer, community organizer and positivity activist, Batch will lead and moderate three, two-hour, interactive experiences for up to 30 participants each, to be held April 23, 24 and 25. Batch recently designed the custom wall coverings based on street styles of the 70s and 80s for Camelback Resort’s Graffiti Pizza.

Philadelphia-based mixed media artist Natalie Flor Negron will lead the summer Creative Collection at Camelback program (dates to be determined). Known for her murals and installations featuring bold colors and graphics referencing the man-made and natural world, Negron will unveil an original chalk art and mural for the resort’s new Café La Colombe (replacing Neptunes) this summer.

And regional nature and landscape photographers Chrissy Donadi and Matt Fischer will lead the fall Creative Collection at Camelback program with a leaf photo workshop (dates to be determined). Donadi and Fischer’s authentic Pocono nature scenes can be seen in Camelback’s guestrooms and lodge corridors.

The workshops are open to the public and guests staying at the resort. Reservations are required and can be made via the website’s Events page.

Below are more details on Baron Batch’s workshops:
