In the elegant Palos Verdes Grand Ballroom, New Year’s Eve revelers will celebrate with friends and family as they toast to a happy 2024, enjoy lavish, innovative culinary stations and marvel at sweeping Pacific Coast views at Terranea’s luxurious Hollywood-themed party. The extravaganza features an open bar (21+), casino games and tunes by DJ Ricky Rocks. The menu features a TAQUERIA STATION with mahi mahi adobada, chicken tinga, frijoles borracha, saffron rice, corn tortillas, salsas, caesar salad and more. From the PASTA STATION: penne al pomodoro di salsiccia, smoked chicken with gemelli pasta, seasonal vegetables, carbonara sauce, roasted romesco tortiglioni pasta and accompaniments. The SLIDER ACTION STATION tempts with kobe beef, salmon and chicken tender sliders on brioche buns. DIM SUM includes vegetable spring rolls, vegetable dumplings and shrimp and pork shu mai. From the MONTE CARLO STATION, there is carved porchetta, black truffle polenta, fougasse, stocafi with fresh local seafood, caviar baked potatoes and creme fraiche, crepes suzette and chocolate truffles. ASIAN STATION displays vegetarian lo mein noodles, chicken fried rice, ponzu, sweet chili sauce, sambal, cucumber and bean sprout salad. New Year’s Eve Dinner at catalina kitchen

With unrivaled views of the Pacific, New Year’s Eve guests will enjoy modern and comfortably chic buffet dining for this holiday. At the RAW BAR, marinated mussels, shrimp cocktail, freshly shucked oysters, scallops on the half shell, salmon poke, Dungeness crab causa, whole roasted halibut with piperade, steamed snow crab, beer battered cod sliders, and other seafood delicacies will be served. HOLIDAY OFFERINGS include an assortment of seasonal breads and charcuterie, seasonal salads, antipasto platter, grilled vegetables and cheese fondue. New Year’s Eve Winter Wonderland Family Dinner at Terranea’s Marineland Ballroom

Sunday, December 31, seatings at 7:30 and 8:30 p.m.

Visiting families will join together to toast the new year as they savor a deliciously decadent gourmet three-course dinner — while admiring endless ocean vistas, enjoying live entertainment and sipping champagne. The festive meal begins with an Amuse Bouche of Oyster Mousse with pumpernickel and Meyer lemon caviar in an oyster shell. The Appetizer is Baja Shrimp Cocktail, and the Salad is composed of roasted beets, beet chip, pink peppercorn ricotta, hazelnuts, beet yuzu dressing, arugula, beet gastrique and beet gelee. The Entrée features a Duo of Grilled Filet Mignon and Seared Seabass on top of sweet potato puree and seasonal vegetables dressed in truffle demi. The vegetarian option is Baked Pasta with ricotta, parm, basil and heirloom tomato. The Kid’s Menu offers Trio of Chicken Tenders and Mac and Cheese with broccoli and carrots. A wonderful way to start the new year is to visit Terranea’s signature Forbes Four Star restaurant, mar’sel to welcome everything wonderful for 2024. mar’sel’s New Year’s Eve Dinner is four courses starting with a choice of Ice Fjord Salmon Tartare with passion fruit coulis and caviar; Cauliflower Salad with haricots verts, pickled gooseberries and pine nuts; Lobster Bisque with broccoli, leek oil and esplelette pepper; or Cone Cabbage with parsnip, celery root, mustard frills and black truffle. The Second Course offers options of Black Lentil Soup with sunchoke chips and pomegranate; Crab Stuffed Pappardelle with pea coulis and confit tomato; Risotto with watercress, oyster, red pepper coulis and Meyer lemon; or Potato Gnocchi with Colorado lamb ragout, porcini mushrooms, pecorino fondue and black truffle. Then there’s a choice of Chilean Sea Bass with a saffron bouillabaisse sauce, mussels, clams, prawns and fennel; Diver Scallops with butternut squash coulis, orange endive and broccoli; Duck Breast glazed with spiced honey, confit thigh, chanterelles and potato fondant; or Beef Truffled Wellington with sauteed spinach, glazed carrots and bordelaise sauce. New Year’s Eve Specials at Lobby Bar and Nelson’s

At Terranea’s lovely Lobby Bar with its amazing Pacific coastal views, there are some very special New Year’s Eve specials offered to those who want to thoroughly relax during this celebratory evening. They will have a Seafood Tower highlighted by oysters, crab legs and shrimp cocktail served with lemon, pink peppercorn mignonette and cocktail sauce. The special sweet treat is Espresso Mascarpone Banana Trifle with a champagne truffle, and the special cocktail is Rosemary & Pomegranate Fizz made with OneHope sparkling wine. At casual dining Nelson’s perched above the ocean coves, New Year’s Eve specials are Fried Shrimp Po Boy on butter toasted hoagie with lettuce tomato, onion and a spicy remoulade sauce and french fries; Espresso Mascarpone with banana trifle champagne truffle; and a Sidecar Martini created with bourbon and warm house made mulled cider.
