Thanksgiving Dinner Buffet at Local Current

Families and friends will happily enjoy the seasonal buffet feast prepared by Chef Leo De Leon and his culinary team — delicious fare inspired by tradition, creative innovation and the spirit and regional bounty of this coastal Long Beach setting. The bread display features Corn Bread, Assorted Dinner Rolls, Rosemary Focaccia, Whipped Butter and EVOO Balsamic Vinegar. Kuri Squash Soup is on the menu with crème fraîche and brown butter croutons. The Salads include Harvest Salad composed of local greens, persimmon, frisee, toasted almonds and Riesling vinaigrette and Shaved Brussels Sprout Salad garnished with blue cheese, bacon lardons, candied pecans and apple maple vinaigrette. The seafood display features Chilled Shrimp Cocktail and Crab Claws with cocktail sauce and mignonette. Holiday entrees are Rosemary Turkey served with gravy and cranberry sauce and Charred Pineapple Glazed Ham with wildflower honey mustard. Sides include Green Beans, Garlic Mashed Potatoes, Herb Stuffing and Caramelized Yams. The sweet finale choices are Pumpkin Pie, Walnut Cake, Apple Pie Crumble, Crème Brûlée and Profiteroles.

Christmas Eve Dinner Buffet at Local Current

Always filled with excitement and good cheer, Christmas Eve celebrants may choose to be guests at Marriott Long Beach Downtown’s first Christmas Eve Buffet served at its new, modern decor Local Current. The special savory buffet is the masterwork of Chef Leo De Leon and his kitchen crew. To begin the feast, there’s Lobster Bisque Soup with tarragon crème fraîche and fines herbes and the bread display offers Assorted Dinner Rolls and Rosemary Focaccia with whipped butter. Salads are Gem Salad with shaved parmesan, chives, focaccia crouton and classic Caesar dressing and Rocket Arugula & Pear Salad composed of endive, stilton blue cheese, candied walnuts and pear vinaigrette. Chilled Shrimp Cocktail and Oysters and Crab Claws with sauces are served at the seafood display. Delicious entrees feature Prime Rib with bearnaise and horseradish cream and Roasted Turkey with gravy and housemade cranberry sauce. Sides include Asparagus, Garlic Mashed Potatoes, Heirloom Carrot and Cream Corn Casserole. Favorite luscious Christmas confections will be Yule Logs, Christmas Cookies, Walnut Cake, Apple Pie Crumble, Crème Brûlée and Profiteroles.
