SILVERADO RESORT EMBRACES EARTH DAY WITH SUSTAINABLE INITIATIVES AND GARDEN HOUR RETURNS
NAPA VALLEY, Calif. — Silverado Resort, nestled in the heart of Napa Valley, invites guests and locals to celebrate the beauty and bounty of Mother Earth with a series of Earth Day events and the return of its popular “Garden Hour” in the Chef’s Garden.
Silverado Resort is dedicated to the sustainability of the region, creating experiences to enhance this goal and developing ongoing programs and services for its guests to appreciate the resort’s terroir and ecosystem. And working with KSL Resorts, its management company, Silverado actively supports KSL Resorts’ ON PURPOSE mission, a commitment to drive positive, sustainable changes at each of its properties. At Silverado a sampling of these initiatives includes eliminating single use materials, reducing water consumption by 5%, diverting 20% of waste by adopting strict reduce, reuse, recycle standards and reducing its carbon footprint by 10%.
Additionally, the resort recently partnered with ONEHOPE, an award-winning winery that supports nonprofits dedicated to health and education services, hunger relief and greater access to water. Guests who stay at Silverado will find a bottle of ONEHOPE wine in their rooms.
Seasonal experiences and good earth appreciation programs at Silverado Resort include:

Resort Clean-up and Help to Spread Wood Chips in Parks
The Silverado Resort Team will partner with Napa Parks and Recreation on Earth Day, Monday April 22, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. to spread wood chips in Napa’s local parks. The wood chips mimic leaves, branches and needles that fall from the trees in a forest and naturally cool the soil, providing homes for small critters and a habitat for fungi. In addition, Team Silverado and Club Members will conduct a resort clean-up on Tuesday, April 23.
