PALMERTON, Penn.Blue Mountain Resort, nestled along the Kittatinny Ridge in the picturesque Pocono Mountains and just north of Pennsylvania’s Appalachian Trail, is thrilled to announce its fall events and adventures, highlighting the resort’s stunning autumnal beauty.

Adventure seekers can enjoy the resort’s world-class Bike Park, the largest in Pennsylvania, open through October. Summit Adventure Park offers an array of exhilarating activities including high ropes courses, zip lines, rock climbing, bungee trampoline and free-fall belay.

The resort’s fall schedule features a range of special events, including scenic lift rides, Oktoberfest festivities, nighttime climbing and zip lining, a Fall Food Truck Fest, and the resort’s annual Monster Ball. Additionally, to gear up for the 2024–25 winter season, Blue Mountain Resort will host its much-anticipated Annual Tent Sale.

Fall Foliage Scenic Lift Rides

Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays September 6 through October 27; Fridays from noon to 4:30 p.m.; Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The whole family can ride on Blue Mountain’s Comet Quad Chairlift, which loads on passengers behind the Village Lodge. It’s a memorable way to soak in the brilliant Pocono autumn colors. Riders can take the scenic lift ride down the mountain or take a hike over to Slopeside Pub & Grill to enjoy lunch. Slopeside, known for its mountain views and casual, year-round al fresco dining, has a new menu — tempting hungry outdoor enthusiasts with choices such as Fried Mozzarella, Wood Fired Pizzas, Crispy Asian Salad and Chicken Wings with a choice of eight sauces.

Advanced ticket purchasing is recommended, especially during Oktoberfest.

Oktoberfest Festivities at Blue Mountain Resort

Saturday, September 28, and Sunday, September 29, in the valley, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Blue Mountain Resort’s Oktoberfest celebration features fun for the whole family and friends. The festivities feature good, old-fashion hayrides, a pumpkin patch and live German music. And of course it wouldn’t be Oktoberfest without hearty Bavarian-style food and thirst-quenching beverages at the Biergarten.

Free admission for the whole family. IDs checked at the gate for 21+ who wish to drink.

Thrilling Fright Time Zip & Climb High Ropes Course at Summit Adventure Park

Friday, October 4, 11 and 18, and Saturday, October 26; session start times are 5:30, 6, and 6:30 p.m.

This challenging activity includes a 2½ hour session where climbers get to climb one of five rope courses, then zipline and swing through the evening Pocono sky — right through the treetops. The experience includes laser lights, glow sticks and spooky Halloween decorations to thrill the participants. In addition, the high ropes courses and Adventure Tour with zip lining, rock wall and free fall activity will be open.

Buying tickets in advance is recommended. Event capacity is limited and does sell out. $55 per person per session for tickets bought within 48 hours of event. Guests should arrive at Summit True Blue Sports Shop at the top of the mountain 30 minutes prior to session.

Fall Food Truck Fest at Blue Mountain Resort

Saturday, October 19, and Sunday, October 20, in the valley, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Blue Mountain Resort’s Fall Food Truck Fest offers an exciting opportunity for guests to enjoy a diverse selection of mouth-watering dishes from popular food trucks, including local favorites like Burger Shack and Joe’s Italian Sausage. Alongside the culinary offerings, attendees can relax to live music and take in the breathtaking autumn scenery with scenic lift rides.

Annual Monster Ball at Slopeside Pub & Grill

Saturday, October 26, from 8 p.m. to midnight

Every year Blue Mountain throws a Monster Ball that’s all about Halloween fun. Guests will want to come in their own special costumes to compete for prizes: Most Creative, Best Couple, Fan Favorite, Scariest and Sexiest. To make the night extra special there is live music, and dinner is available along with Halloween drink specials. All guests who wear a costume will be entered into a prize raffle. This bash will have promo giveaways and more surprises.

Free admission. All attendees must be 21+ and present a valid ID (driver’s license, state ID, passport or military ID).

Winter Season Tent Sale

Saturday and Sunday, October 19 and 20, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Blue Mountain Resort invites winter sports enthusiasts to gear up for the upcoming 2024–25 ski season at its highly anticipated Annual Tent Sale. This event offers a unique opportunity to shop for top-quality ski gear, apparel and accessories at unbeatable prices.
