Fresh Menus at Somerset Grill

New Executive Chef Frank Barajas has added selections to the all-day menus at Somerset Grill with its al fresco patio and chic indoor seaside dining — showcasing “Oceanside Americana” with the freshest ingredients from Central Coast California and beyond. The Dinner Menu offers entrees of Miso Salmon with caramelized lentils, French green beans, foraged mushroom and miso cream sauce; Grilled Swordfish with broccoli romesco, roasted carrots and lemon caper relish; Flat Iron Steak Frites with truffle fries and sauce verte; along with several new salads. The Breakfast Menu has been enhanced with the addition of Vespera Toast with avocado smash, pea tendril, micro herbs and watermelon radish; a Vespera Classic complete egg breakfast with accompaniments; and more.

In addition, Somerset Grill’s indoor Blend Bar is now open daily from noon to 9:30 p.m., serving snacks like roasted bar nuts and chips and salsas. Quick bites include Skillet Fondue, Vespera Wings and Baja Seafood Cocktail. Craft cocktails like the Central Coast Fashion are featured as well as draft craft beer. Live outdoor music entertains every Friday and Saturday from 5 to 8 p.m.

New Alluring Amenities

Amenities have been added to make the Central Coast lifestyle experience at Vespera Resort lively and dynamic for families and other beach lovers. “Vespera” signifies the evening star paying tribute to the Chumash First Nations who inhabited the Central Coast and used the stars to navigate across the Santa Barbara Channel. In celebration of the beautiful nighttime stars and its name origin, the resort is adding collapsible telescopes into each of the rooms and creating a stargazing map for night sky education and discovery.

Other guest amenities include the Pismo Beach Shuttle, operating daily from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. within city limits; beach chairs available for guests daily from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.; beach toys available daily for kids and adults, which include boogie boards, kites and fishing equipment; lawn games providing family fun; and enhanced Wi-Fi service for resort guests.
