Vespera Resort on Pismo Beach, an Autograph Collection Hotel, along the city’s iconic Central California Coast boardwalk is introducing a Weekend Brunch at Somerset Grill on Saturday, April 9. Now visitors will want to make this spot a favorite destination for flavorful Baja Coastal-inspired cuisine created by Executive Chef Frank Barajas — served every Saturday and Sunday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will also be special celebratory brunch menus offered for family and friends to enjoy for Easter on April 16 and 17 and for Mother’s Day on May 7 and 8.

New Weekend Brunch Launches at Somerset Grill

The new extensive a la carte Brunch Menu is served al fresco on Somerset Grill’s patio or at its chic, seaside indoor seating and showcases the freshest regional seasonal ingredients. Starters/Small Bites offer Cheese Blintz with sweet ricotta filling and an orange buttermilk sauce and Seafood Pozole composed of clams, shrimp, halibut, heirloom hominy and ancho guajillo broth. From the Griddle, diners may choose a Tri-Tip Taco, Fried Chicken and Churros, Breakfast Burger with applewood bacon and special Vespera sauce and more. Egg options are many, including Crab Benedict; Chilaquiles with salsa pequin, fried egg, avocado and crema; and Huevos Rancheros. Build Your Own Omelet gives creators choices of bell pepper, mushrooms, feta, kale, Jack, cheddar and others and is served with Chef’s market fresh greens. Salads tempt with Baja Caesar with tortilla strips; Waldorf composed of celery, apple and pecans; and Avocado Citrus Salad. Satisfying hearty Sides are scalloped potatoes, house made breakfast sausage and applewood smoked bacon or ham. And to please sweet cravings, there’s the Chef’s Pastry Table. Beverage choices of craft beers, signature cocktails and fine wines are selected to complement this diverse and satisfying brunch menu.

Served on Saturday, April 16, and on Sunday, April 17, from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Sharing Easter Weekend Brunch at Vespera Resort’s Somerset Grill with family and friends promises to be a relaxing, festive, memorable event. The a la carte menu has Starters/Small Bites selections including Pozole Rojo with tender pork and hominy; Citrus House Cured Salmon and Poached Egg Toast with avocado, watermelon relish and pea shoots; and Shrimp and Crab Ceviche. From the Griddle options are Carrot Cake Pancakes, Potato and Pepper Hash with eggs as you like and more. Egg Dishes include Eggs Benedict; Three Eggs Any Style with house made sausage or applewood bacon and scalloped potatoes; and Build Your Own Omelet with very delicious choices. Two of the featured Salads are Baja Caesar with cilantro pepita dressing and Ambrosia with Mexican yogurt. There are also favorite brunch Sides and the Chef’s Specialty Pastry Options for a delectable, sweet finale.

Special Mother’s Day Brunch at Somerset Grill

Served on Saturday, May 7, and on Sunday, May 8, from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Mothers and their family members of all ages will love celebrating along the Pismo Beach boardwalk overlooking the Pacific. The special a la carte brunch menu at Somerset Grill offers Starters/Small Bites such as Mushroom & Onion Quiche with foraged mushrooms, caramelized onion, crème fraîche and fresh greens and Yogurt Parfait Brûlée with strawberry compote. From the Griddle selections are Strawberry Rhubarb Ricotta Pancakes, Banana Pecan French Toast, Ham Biscuit Sliders with apricot mustard and other choices. There are several appealing Egg Dishes including Lobster Benedict with thermidor sauce. Guests can visit the Build Your Own Omelet station and the Salad station to enjoy Avocado Citrus Salad with Cara Cara, Valencia and blood oranges with a citrus vinaigrette or a Melon and Herb Salad with lime dressing.
